Zheng Qinwen Makes History, Defeats World No. 1 to Reach Olympic Tennis Final

Zheng Qinwen defeated world No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the Paris Olympics semifinals, becoming the first Chinese player to reach an Olympic tennis final. Despite a 0-4 second-set deficit, Zheng won 6-2, 7-5, ending Swiatek’s 25-match Roland Garros streak. Zheng will face Donna Vekic for the gold medal. Swiatek will compete for bronze.
